Is your spine ready to tackle all the spring projects?

With spring just around the corner, everyone is getting ready to get started on the annual spring cleaning and home improvement projects. This means we will be coming out of hibernation and putting more stresses on out bodies with yard work, outdoor projects and exercise. Just like a good foundation is important to building a solid home that will last for years to come, so is our spine, which is the foundation of the human body. Our spines are amazing structures composed of 24 vertebrae and a multitude of muscles that stabilize the area. The spine helps keep us upright protects the nervous system and at the same time allows us to move in all directions. To achieve this great mobility, the spine had to give up some stability, thus allowing for possible misalignments. In chiropractic we call those misalignments SUBLUXATIONS. Subluxations affect the nervous system and do not allow our body to function at a 100% of its potential. Doctors of Chiropractics are the only healthcare providers trained to analyze and correct subluxations and improve spinal curvature. A 2012 study of 51 subjects with reduced cervical curvature undergoing chiropractic care found a 56% improvement on x-ray without the use of surgery or other invasive procedures. Another recent study published in the Journal of Pediatric, Maternal & Family Health investigated chiropractic care for an 11 year old female with a 22 degree scoliosis. The results showed not only that the scoliosis stopped progressing, but an actual 3 degree reduction in only a 90 day period. Chiropractic care plays a major role in keeping your spinal column healthy and strong for a lifetime. Come see us at Easton Family Chiropractic to get your spine checked and your body ready to tackle any spring project!
